How to Pair and Connect an Apple Watch With a New iPhone

How to Connect Your New iPhone to an Apple Watch

  • Start using the outdated iPhone you’re replacing. Install the most recent iOS version on that phone first.
  • Check to see if your Apple Watch needs to be updated to the most recent watchOS version when that is finished.
  • In such a case, make the upgrade.
  • Check if your previous iPhone uploads the Apple Watch activity and health data to iCloud.
  • To transfer the info to your new iPhone, you must do this.
  • Make sure the Health slider is turned on or green by navigating to Settings > [your name] > iCloud.
  • Depending on your preference, you can either back up your previous iPhone to iCloud or a Mac or PC.
  • When setting up your new iPhone, select restore the backup you created earlier.
  • Tap Continue when the iPhone asks if you want to utilise your Apple Watch.
  • Put your Apple Watch close and the new iPhone in the same area. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
  • Follow the onscreen steps if the iPhone asks you to confirm that you wish to use the Watch.
  • If the iPhone asks you to begin pairing the Watch, unpair it from the prior pairing before moving on.

What to Do If Your Old iPhone Is Missing

  • Wipe your Apple Watch clean.
  • Go to Watch’s Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings menu.
  • Obey the directions displayed on the screen.
  • If you haven’t already, set up your new iPhone.
  • Connect the Watch to your brand-new iPhone.
  • If you have the option, restore the Watch from a backup.
  • You will have to set up the Watch as new and lose your data if you don’t have a backup (unless you’ve been backing up to iCloud, of course). In that instance, it should sync, provided you’re signed into the same iCloud account as the old iPhone.
